Our Admission Office provides support on every step of your WRA journey, from the application process to the millions of dollars in financial aid we provide to families each year.

Application Process

  • You can apply to WRA by submitting a Gateway to Prep Schools Application, or by completing our PDF application. Make sure to follow form instructions and complete every part.
  • Sign up for a standardized test. Grades 8 and 9 should take the SSAT, Grades 10-12 and PG should take PSAT, ACT or SAT. International Students should take the SSAT and TOEFL. Please be aware of the deadlines to sign up for these tests and plan ahead.
    • The SSAT will be administered at WRA on: Oct. 15, Nov. 12, Dec. 10, Jan. 7, Feb. 11, March 4.

Important Deadlines

Completed day student applications are due to the Admission Office by Dec. 13, 2016, and notification of decision is sent on Jan. 6, 2017. Completed boarding student applications are due to the Admission Office by Feb. 1, 2017, and notification of decision is sent on March 9, 2017.

After Feb. 1, 2017, applications are welcome and will be considered as long as spaces are available. Because students are often applying to schools with varied admission deadlines, the admission committee, in some cases can give applicants an "early read." International Applicants

  • Your application to Western Reserve Academy must be completed and the application fee received before scheduling an interview. You may submit a Gateway to Prep Schools Application or apply through SSAT.
  • Test Requirements: TOEFL (minimum score: 90) & SSAT (TOEFL Jr., IELTS, and SLEP tests are not accepted)
  • All international applicants must submit a copy of their passport with the application.
