What would Thanksgiving be without parades, proper table etiquette and...pumpkin slime? WRA is offering some extra holiday fun this Thanksgiving with programs designed for kids of all ages. The programs take place on campus on Wednesday, November 24.
ThankSTEAMing is for kids ages kindergarten through 6th grade. The morning program will include Thanksgiving-inspired STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics). Kids will work to design and engineer their own versions of the Mayflower and then race their vessels. Additional activities include making pumpkin slime and other hands-on science and technology challenges.
The second program is presented by The Etiquette Factory and is designed for ages 6-14. Just in time for holiday dinner, kids will brush up on proper etiquette including introductions, party and table manners, thank you notes, posture, and dining styles around the world. The session also will include online etiquette. Hosts in training will learn the fine art of entertaining gracefully and showing gratitude.
