Beyond Reserve internships with partner organizations, both domestic and abroad, enhance the WRA experience and allow our students to distinguish themselves among their peers.
During the summer of 2017, 23 WRA students are participating in Beyond Reserve, broadening their horizons, growing as young adults and adding to their portfolio of accomplishments. This year's participants are working with: Baylor Medical Center, Case Western Reserve University Genetic Research Program, Caterham Exchange Program, Cleveland Clinic, ELISA, International Summer Science School - Heidelberg, Garfield Center for Public Leadership (Hiram College), Record Publishing, TheStoryIs, TechStyleLAB, Morgan Stanley, Little Tikes, Robert Portman Congressional Staff, Apple's World Wide Developers Conference and the Akron Rubber Ducks.

From June 21-24, Jasmine Wheeler ’20 and Josh Rogers ’19 participated in the Garfield Crisis Simulation program hosted by the Garfield Center for Public Leadership at Hiram College.
From June 19-23, Meimei Tannehill ’19 interned with the TechStyleLAB at The Fashion School at Kent State University.
From June 11–17, Nita Reddy ’18, accompanied by Science Department Chair Wanda Boesch, traveled to the Baylor Medical Center in Texas.

From June 5 through June 9, Alan Zhong ’19 was chosen to participate in the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference as part of their highly competitive Scholarship program.
From May 31 to June 29, four students, Rodney Im ’18, Roy Lee ’18, Katie Ly ’18 and Alicia Ma ’18, traveled with WRA Faculty member Judy Chen to Taiwan through the ELISA program.
