Dear Friends,
I hope this email finds you well. I write with WRA's latest phase of COVID-related protocol.
I remain most grateful for the thoughtfulness of our students, their families and our employees. Thank you for the outstanding job you have done in upholding WRA's COVID protocols. I know it is not easy, but your efforts speak volumes to your commitment to our community. I couldn't be more appreciative.
Given the success of our Pioneers and the desire to support the emotional wellness needs of all, we look to find areas in which we can ease some of the limitations previously put into place. Please note the following:
As of the week of 1/18: Visitation of residents within the same dorm is permitted; day students are broadly welcome to participate in meals, weekend and evening activities; boarding students may sign out for weekends (but may not yet bring guests); hockey practices permitted.
As of the week of 1/25: Interscholastic competition of varsity sports will resume (no spectators yet); students are permitted to participate in athletic and arts endeavors outside of WRA. Please note that all of WRA athletics will follow the best practices of sport-specific protocols as outlined by authorities including, and not limited to, OHSAA.
While I am optimistic about WRA's success trajectory, please recognize that our protocols are dependent upon our performance, the greater COVID landscape, and what is deemed to be in best practice given the facts available at the time. At any time, in the event that our protocols need to change, I will be in communication.
Again, I am grateful for the extensive efforts of all. Please be safe, take care of yourself and others, and think good thoughts. Brighter days are on our horizon.
