A: Isolation is required for individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19. It requires physical separation from other people. Quarantine is required for people who have been identified as part of the contact tracing circle of an individual who tested positive. In quarantine (for example, in Hobart Hall), you may live in a cohort and interact with others in that cohort.
A: No. Once notified of the need to quarantine, you must quarantine for 14 days from the date of the last known exposure to the person who tested positive for COVID-19.
A: Anyone who has spent more than 15 minutes, collectively over a 24-hour period, within 6 feet of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19. Tracing begins two days before illness onset or two days prior to test specimen collection up until the patient is isolated. This criteria holds whether or not the contacts of the affected individual were wearing masks. Individuals who meet the contact tracing criteria must quarantine for 14 days.
A: If a student believes they have symptoms they should go to the Health Center. Any faculty or staff members that are symptomatic should contact their physician.
A: On-campus tests are administered to symptomatic students.
A: No, but we will be in touch with the contact circle of any individual who has tested positive to provide guidance and support on next steps. We also will communicate with any adults (faculty, coaches, dorm heads, etc.) who support an affected student's life and learning at WRA to assist with modifications to daily routines.
