Dear Option B Seniors and families,

We hope this message finds you well. WRA recognizes that travel to campus for many of our international students is currently complex. We hope to alleviate any anxiety or confusion that you may be experiencing. In coordination with many departments across campus, WRA has determined that it is in your best interest to welcome back Option B seniors at any time during the academic year. This will allow seniors to complete any final standardized testing on campus prior to college and university Early Decision and Early Action deadlines.

There are three opportunities remaining for students to take standardized tests prior to the most common Nov. 1, or Nov. 15, ED/EA application deadlines. WRA will host the SAT on Saturday, Sept. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 3, and will host the ACT (as an unregistered test center - 206510 ) on Saturday, Oct. 24. Registration for these test dates remain open, but not for much longer. Please note the following registration deadlines below:

  • Sept. 26 SAT - late registration ends Sept. 15
  • Oct. 3 SAT - late registration ends Sept. 22
  • Oct. 24 ACT - late registration ends Sept. 25

If you have questions about whether to register for an SAT, ACT or TOEFL, please be in touch with your college counselor.

Please complete this Arrival Form with your current plans. This will not only allow us to prepare for your arrival on campus, but also provide any immigration support that may be required.

Once you have finalized your travel plans, please complete the following checklist:

  • Send a complete copy of your travel itinerary to the Student Life Office and to Mr. Shriver in the Admission Office.
  • Contact Mrs. Chlysta to plan your in-person classes for Module 2 and beyond. Depending on your schedule, you may be able to move to in-person sections of classes when you return to campus, or continue to learn online through the end of Module 1.
  • Connect with Mr. Shriver to obtain a letter of support to present at the US border and an updated I-20 if needed.
  • Complete WRA's online orientation class in Canvas if you have not done so already.
  • Follow the health protocols outlined in WRA's Health and Safety Pledge, including frequent hand washing, wearing a mask and maintaining six feet of distance from others. When you arrive on campus, complete a screening at the health center before you move in.

The Western Reserve Academy campus is buzzing with the excitement of a new school year and we cannot wait until you can join us! Please let us know if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
