"Flavors From Western Reserve Academy, A Collection Of Recipes And Stories"
The brand new Pioneer Women's Association Cookbook
Coming mid-December.
Available just in time for holiday gift-giving.
Led by a WRA parent and sponsored by PWA, it will have taken fifteen months from the time the PWA volunteer committee was formed until the cookbooks are available. The process started with recipes being contributed by WRA current students, current and past parents, alumni, board members, friends of WRA, faculty and staff. It is impossible to add up all the hours dedicated to the success of this cookbook. There have been over 30 PWA volunteers who donated their time to collect, test and review, compile, edit and proof more than 240 recipes. Knowing that every recipe has been prepared before it was included into the cookbook meant all the ingredients, quantities and directions have been kitchen tested. This was done so that one can be confident when preparing a delicious sounding recipe, it will be a success.
One could describe the newest WRA cookbook as being the language of food or insights into WRA or this is the community of WRA or all of the above. These descriptions are all true and that is what makes this cookbook so special. It provides an opportunity to share the community of WRA, the school and it's people... through images, a bit of history and lots of recipes.
Check the WRA Campus Store in mid-December for availability — pick up one for yourself and consider ordering multiples as gifts for your favorite chef, student, alumni or friend.
If there are any questions about the cookbook, please send Linda Morris (Rachel '16) an email at lindamorris44236@gmail.com.
