Western Reserve Academy's commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom, and it's no more evident than when you look at the effort that has gone into offering our students state-of-the-art athletic facilities.


WRA’s Murdough Athletic Center (MAC) houses a 45,000-square-foot field house with a 200-meter indoor track around a rubber-surfaced practice area available for use by all sports. The complex also includes:

  • Two wooden-floored basketball courts
  • Six-lane swimming pool with a separate diving well
  • Wrestling/multi-purpose room
  • State-of-the-art fitness center (with both extensive free weights and machines)
  • Athletic trainers’ room
  • Locker rooms for students and visiting teams, and an equipment room
  • Athletic classroom
  • Riflery/multi-purpose room, and snack bar/multi-purpose area


  • WRA Game Stadium with a turf field (football, soccer, field hockey and lacrosse) and Longstreth Track
  • 10-court tennis complex
  • Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball fields
  • Varsity and Junior Varsity softball fields
  • 8 full-size fields for football, soccer, lacrosse and field hockey
  • 3.1 mile cross country trail


  • The ice hockey program uses the Kent State University ice arena in Kent, Ohio.
  • The golf program holds a number of practices and home competitions at the Lake Forest Country Club, Brandywine Country Club and Raccoon Hill Golf Club.
