Underclassmen have strong performances at Woodridge "Stars of Track and Field" Meet
The future of the Pioneer Track and Field Program was on display at Woodridge High School's annual "Stars of Track and Field" on Monday night.

Fourteen student-athletes (the vast majority of whom are 9th and 10th graders) set personal records, with five of these athletes setting multiple personal bests on the track and in the field events -- a truly tremendous accomplishment.

Ninth grade standout Ky Hau-Golden, building off her big night at Mayfield on Friday, won the 100m and 200m and took 2nd in the long jump. Classmate Mia Maze-Ingram took 4th in the 100m dash and 4th place in the 200m. Sophomore Lea Carino was 6th in the 100m and 200m - running season PRs in both.

Sophomore Jada Kenner won the 400m and teammate Elba Heddesheimer was close behind in 6th. Heddesheimer also doubled back in the 800m to take 3rd. Junior Jack Colafella had a big PR in the 1600m and 9th grader Luke Harrington had multiple PRs in the 100m and the 200m.

The girls finished 2nd overall in the competitive meet, their best team finish of the season.
