Prep Basketball off to 7-0 start

Pioneer squad has excellent performance at MADE Hoops Northeast Preview.

Prep Basketball season is off to a blazing start.

WRA's Prep Boys Basketball team attended a national-level tournament in Manheim, PA this past weekend, climbing their way to a perfect 4-0 road trip. Highly skilled teams from all over the country were present, with Division 1 recruits and high international talent abounding.

On Saturday, WRA first matched up with Eagle Academy (NY) in a 56-47 win before taking on West Nottingham Academy (MD) later that day. Sharp shooting and strong defense led the Pioneers to a 10-point victory over WNA.

Sunday's competitions came down to the wire. A mere four points separated WRA above Bridgeport Prep (CT), and in the final game Landon Moore '22 hit a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds to sneak by Imhotep Academy (GA), 50-49.

The players rallied together and left it all on the court, rising to the high level of competition they were up against. The showcase event was great for the team to build chemistry and gain exposure to national-level opponents.

The WRA Prep squad now holds an undefeated 7-0 record, which they'll look to build upon in their next game on Saturday, Nov. 6th at home.
