WRA Baseball Falls to 1-1 After Loss to CCA

Inconsistency at the plate led to the Pios letting this one slip.

On April 12, WRA Baseball traveled to Euclid to play Cornerstone Christian Academy. After a solid 8-1 lead in two innings, the Pioneer bats went quiet, and CCA chipped away each inning. WRA threw three pitchers: Captain AJ Spano '24 got the start, with Matt Thomas '23 relieving and Will Bartlett '24 closing in his first WRA pitching appearance. Ben Ross '26 recorded his first Varsity hit, and Tucker Marshall '25 hawked down fly balls in center field, accumulating his first two put outs in the WRA Baseball uniform.

After back-to-back games, the Baseball Pios look forward to regrouping before a rematch with Cleveland Heights at Pioneer Park on Tuesday, April 18.
