Danforth Pewter Featured in ABC World News’s “Made in America” Series

The company, started by Fred Danforth ‘68, is situated in Middlebury, VT and is proud of its American roots.

ABC’s “Made in America Christmas” features small businesses from around the country who submit short video clips for consideration. Last week, Danforth Pewter, a company started by WRA alum Fred Danforth ‘68, had a moment in the spotlight.

Danforth Pewter manufactures metal products such as jewelry, home decor and collectibles. They were featured on ABC this week for their beautiful Christmas ornaments. 150 different ornaments in all are handcrafted by 80 workers, some of whom have been making ornaments for Danforth Pewter for more than thirty years. Beyond these products, Danforth Pewter partners with WRA to manufacture and provide a special gift to each senior, as well as a majority of our academic prizes.

Fred Danforth is the son of William H. Danforth, another WRA alum (class of 1934) and longtime Director of Admissions. The President’s House Conference Room is dedicated in his name.
