College Admission in a COVID-19 World - Tuesday, Oct. 6, at 7 p.m. EDT
In this virtual event open to everyone, WRA's College Counseling Office is excited to welcome Admission Deans and Directors from Bowdoin College, Syracuse University and Vanderbilt University in a robust discussion of the college landscape in these unprecendented times.
Parent Coffee - Wednesday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. EDT
Join Associate Head of School Dr. Nicholas Kent for updates on the school year, an overview of family month events, and an explanation of Canvas, our open grade book that allows you to check the academic progress of your students.
Junior College Counseling Kick Off - Thursday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. EDT
Calling all parents of Juniors! Join us for an overview and introduction of the college admission process with featured guests from Case Western Reserve University, The University of Chicago and Davidson College.

Advisor Meetings - Friday and Saturday, Oct. 9 and 10
Your student’s advisor is integral to their life and learning at WRA and they can’t wait to connect with insights and support. In the coming week, you’ll receive notification of available times on these two days so you can select a 30-minute window that works for you.
Mid-Fall Break - Oct. 12 and 13
It’s Mid-Fall Break with no classes in session! We hope our whole community, wherever you are, can enjoy this beautiful time of year and some well deserved rest and relaxation for our students.
Senior Academic Awards - Friday, Oct. 16, at 9:25 a.m. EDT
This ceremony honors outstanding performances of members of the Class of 2021 for their academic aptitude during the 2019-2020 school year.
Virtual Classroom Visit Week - Sunday - Thursday, Oct. 18-22
This is your opportunity to follow your student’s schedule and meet their teachers online, live from their classrooms. There will be one class session per day over a span of 5 days.
For our in-person learners, each session will take place from 6:45 p.m. - 7:15 p.m. EDT
For our distance learning “Piofars,” each session will occur from 7:30 p.m. - 8 p.m. EDT
- October 18 - visit their Period 1 class
- October 19 - visit their Period 2 class
- October 20 - visit their Period 3 class
- October 21 - visit their Period 4 class
- October 22 - visit their Period 5 class
Additional details and links will be provided to all parents preceding the week. Recordings of the class sessions will be provided after they have been completed for Parents unable to attend live or with multiple students at WRA.
Dorm Day - Friday, Oct. 30
It’s Friday and we’ll share not only a look around your student’s dorm hosted by their dorm head (these will be recorded sessions you can watch anytime), but also a recording from our Student Life Office. They’ll describe some of the weekend joy that has sustained even during these challenging times, from corn hole tournaments to hikes in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, to caramel apple making and pumpkin decorating.

We’ll wrap the month with RingCentral meeting updates featuring our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team, our Athletics leadership, and our Advancement and Executive teams. Updates and questions will be shared in these interactive sessions.
