This year, Western Reserve Academy is leading the pack. Named the number one private school, boarding school and college prep high school in the state of Ohio, WRA is once again recognized as the top school in the state.
This distinction comes from Niche, an educational ranking and review company and trusted resource for families researching the best schools and neighborhoods. Each year, Niche publishes a list of the best schools — public, private and boarding — on the state and national level. Their data is based on multiple factors, including hard numbers, such as SAT/ACT scores, and more qualitative data, such as where graduates go to college, and student and parent feedback.
The 2018 rankings have named Western Reserve Academy:
#1 Best Private High School in Ohio
#1 Boarding High School in Ohio
#1 Best College Prep Private High School in Ohio
#1 Best High School for STEM in Ohio
WRA also received distinction on the national level, earning recognition as:
#26 Best Boarding High School in the U.S., out of 264
#80 Best College Prep Private High School in the U.S., out of 3,434
#82 Best Private High School in the U.S., out of 3,497
"WRA has consistently ranked high on Niche's list," said Head of School Christopher D. Burner '80. "We are honored to again sit on the top of the list, especially among so many great schools."
Nearby schools Hathaway Brown and Hawken School have been named the second and third-best private high schools in Ohio, respectively.
