"I chose Walsh University because of the beautiful campus and the location being close to home," he said. "Also, I like the small school setup and closeness you can have with classmates."
After visiting the university, he was struck by the openness of the 136-acre campus and knew it would be the right fit for him.
"I especially loved the tunnel that went under the street to the field," he said.
Gibbons is looking forward to meeting his new teammates and jumping into a competitive collegiate athletic season.
"The coach is a good fit for me, and I have a lot of great chances to play," he said. "I'm looking forward to making new friends and commuting, as well as growing as a lacrosse player."
During his time off the field and outside the athletic facilities, Gibbons is considering pursuing environmental science as a field of study.
"I really love the outdoors and want to help preserve nature," he said.
We congratulate Gibbons on this wonderful decision and wish him well on the next chapter of his athletic and academic journey.
