Kevin Vaughn joins Western Reserve Academy to lead tennis teams

We are thrilled to announce Kevin Vaughn has been named Head Coach of our Boys & Girls Tennis Teams. With more than 31 years of tennis coaching experience, Vaughn is an asset to our athletic program and will lead our tennis athletes with expert instruction and guidance.

Vaughn has extensive one-on-one experience, having been a personal coach for 12 NCAA Division I collegiate players, as well as years of experience leading teams. He is proud of his outstanding record of producing locally ranked junior players as well as coaching and managing United States Tennis Association (USTA) adult teams.

Vaughn knows tennis inside and out, having coached a wide variety of age groups, directed tennis programs and refereeing for private club tournaments. Currently, Vaughn is the owner of Cleveland Tennis Academy, LLC, where he develops and manages recreational tennis classes. His coaching career includes stops at Beachwood High School, Gilmour Academy and serving as Director of Tennis for Force Sports-Richmond and Western Reserve Racquet & Fitness Club.

Those who have been coached by him would describe his style as innovative and energetic, and as the 2009 recipient of The Herb Nold Volunteer of the Year Award, he brings a strength of character that makes him perfectly suited to WRA.

"I am extremely excited to add Kevin Vaughn to our WRA community as the new leader of our boys' and girls' tennis programs," shared Director of Athletic & Afternoon Programs Herb Haller '85. "He brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the program and will be a valuable coach within our athletic department. I look forward to watching Kevin train and develop our student-athletes in the seasons ahead."

Welcome, Coach Vaughn!
