STX, a global sports equipment company, recently featured Kyle Bernlohr '11 — a Brick Row Lacrosse legend — as a part of their Back to School video series. After graduating from Reserve, Bernlohr went on to attend and play at the University of Maryland and now plays professional lacrosse for Premier Lacrosse League's Whipsnakes team.
In March, Bernlohr returned to WRA to record an episode of STX's "Back to School" YouTube series. While here he also taught a clinic and attended a game. The seven-minute STX tour of campus follows Bernlohr from the Victory Bell to Brick Row and to what he calls the best dorm on campus — any guesses? Spoiler alert, he says it is North Hall.
"Having a Brick Row Lacrosse legend like Kyle back on campus really fired the team up," said Varsity Lacrosse Coach Dylan Sheridan '02. "Kyle talked to the athletes about his Reserve experience and how it shaped him as an athlete and person. WRA provided him with a foundation and habits that have become the building blocks of his all-pro and championship-filled career."
Sheridan and Bernlohr have more than WRA in common. They worked together for two years to build the Cleveland State lacrosse program.
"Our two years working together were exceptional, and I've enjoyed staying in touch, watching him grow as a player and coach, and I'm thrilled for all of his success," Sheridan said.
