Senior midfielder Andrew Boniface of Gates Mills, Ohio has been playing lacrosse since he was just in fourth grade. Because lacrosse is, and has been, a big part of his life, it is no surprise that he will continue his passion for the game at the next level.
Recently, Boniface signed his National Letter of Intent to play lacrosse at The University of Hartford. He will become a member of the Hawks Men's Lacrosse team in the fall of 2018. He intends to major in Communications with a focus on sports media. Boniface feels that The University of Hartford is the best fit for him "because of its location, the familial atmosphere among the lacrosse team, its school size and because it feels like the place where I will be happiest and successful at the same time."
While at Western Reserve Academy, Boniface integrated himself in many aspects of the community and campus life. He has spent two years as a prefect and serves as a captain on both the soccer and lacrosse teams. He has earned Most Improved awards for both soccer and lacrosse, is a two-time 2nd Team All-MSLCA selection, two-time Honorable Mention All-League for soccer and has received varsity letters in lacrosse, soccer and basketball. A true triple threat, Boniface has also participated in several school musicals and has been part of choir and band.
When discussing his departure from WRA, he said that he will miss "the people that I have become friends with throughout the past four years, their support and the ability to involve myself in all of the activities that I enjoy. I'll also miss my teachers who have challenged me but are always supportive of me throughout the good and bad times at Reserve."
Outside of lacrosse, Boniface enjoys listening to and making all different types of music, playing FIFA and NHL with his friends and watching all types of sporting events.
