On Tuesday, September 13th, the Boys JV soccer team fell to 2-4 on the season as they lost a tough game 1-0 against Archbishop Hoban High School. Even though WRA outshot Hoban 5-2, a dodgy PK call against Reserve, with 10 minutes left in the second half, proved to be the difference. Even though WRA wasn’t able to put the ball in the back of the net, stellar offensive performances were put in by Suhaan Yadama ’24, Kaden Haslinger ’25, and Antonio Sundfeld ’25. The backline had several outstanding performances, including Caz Badynee ’26 and Lorenzo Plaza ’25. Due to injuries, Harley Gu ’25 and Sanam Mody ’26 both had to help out in unfamiliar positions on defense, and both played quite admirably, thrown into tough conditions, as we only had 7 minutes to warm up, due to an unexpectedly long bus ride. The JV team will be back in action when they face Grand River Academy at home on Thursday, September 22nd.
