Girls Volleyball Beats Cleveland Heights In Three Sets

It was a night of great teamwork, making adjustments, and finding new definitions of success. 

 

Last night WRA Girls Volleyball hosted Cleveland Heights HS. It was a night of great teamwork, making adjustments, and finding new definitions of success. 

The crowd in the MAC gym was energetic and lively, adding to the excitement of the game. The team was on fire as they won the match in 3 sets, 25/6, 25/17, and 25/12,

Junior Nana Kyei changed positions to cover for a sick teammate. Usually a defensive specialist, Nana played well all around with 3 kills and 3 assists. 

Senior Kacey Collis earned the spirit ball for the day with 19 service points and 11 kills. Senior captain Maggie Dunne was strong in the backcourt as libero, and senior Ella Brooks had 26 assists. 

Senior Dani Patterson scored 9 kills, 2 blocks, and 2 service points while sophomore Mia Maze-Ingram had 12 kills and 11 service points. Junior Kate McMullin had 11 kills, 6 service points, and one block. 

Junior Caroline Seymour supported the team on defense and Junior Cece Chapman made her first varsity appearance and served for 7 points. 

The team will host Garfield Heights on Tuesday at 6:30.
