About this search. In mid-March, Dr. Henry E. Flanagan Jr., Western Reserve Academy's headmaster since 1982, announced plans to leave his position in June of 2008. In preparation for Dr. Flanagan's departure, the Board of Trustees has initiated a head of school search with the goal of announcing a new head of school selection in early 2008.

Participation by the Reserve community in the search process is both encouraged and important. This Head of School Search web section is designed to keep the Reserve community current on the school's progress as the hiring process proceeds. It is our hope that the information available here will promote an open dialogue as the Academy conducts a search for its 31st head of school.
