Alumni Association Board
The Mission of the WRA Alumni Association is to “foster the Reserve Spirit through the lifetime of all Alumni through activities that will facilitate communications and build closer relations between the alumni and the Academy, students and faculty.”
The Alumni Association includes every person who attended Western Reserve Academy for at least one academic year, a number that currently exceeds 7,000 individuals. Encompassing a wide variety of backgrounds and professions, Alumni Association members live in every state in the United States and in numerous countries around the world.
The Alumni Association is governed by a 45-member board whose members serve three-year terms. The Alumni Board meets three times each year to plan activities, strategize ways to get alumni involved and to recognize outstanding alumni volunteers through the annual Alumni Association Award, presented each Reunion Weekend. The Alumni Board works closely with WRA’s Alumni & Development Office and a network of Regional Committees to accomplish these objectives, including, but not limited to:
- Celebrate Reserve pig roast and food drive
- Senior Class Picnic
- Alumni Golf Classic
- Regional social and networking events
With its humble beginnings in 1881 as the Society of Alumni, the Western Reserve Academy Alumni Association officially came into existence in 1931 with the goal of keeping alumni connected to the school and with each other.
We encourage each alumnus to consider lending your time and talent to the Alumni Board. Nominations for board membership are submitted each spring and elections are held in July.
