WRA's robust music program offers full-year courses in vocal performance, instrumental performance, music theory and music history.  Students also take individual tutorials with adjunct music faculty, who are practitioners from the Cleveland Orchestra and Akron Symphony.  In recent years, WRA musicians have traveled to Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria to showcase their work.

The Academy Choir
Performs music from a variety of styles and periods

Symphonic Winds
Comprised of woodwind, brass and percussion players

The Academy Orchestra
Teams with the Symphonic Winds to perform traditional symphonic work

Chamber Ensemble
Specializes in Renaissance and Baroque music

Reserve Jazz Project
Performs at numerous school and community events

Takin' Notes
Specializes in a cappella jazz and contemporary music

The Reserve Jazz Project performs at the Wood House of Blues. The community also looks forward to the music department's other annual events, including Handel's Messiah sing, Vespers and the medieval Madrigal Feast.
