The Past – The Present – The Future.  Welcome to Planned Giving at Western Reserve Academy! Here you will find out about the many ways that alumni, parents and friends are supporting the school through their philanthropic gifts. Few countries in the world have a vital nonprofit sector like the one Americans have come to cherish. All charitable institutions exist because someone felt there was a need for them. The same is true with the founding of the Academy. Through the Legacy of Philanthropy, Reserve has become one of the preeminent boarding schools in the country.

Currently, there are 240 members in the Reserve Heritage Society who have arrangements to include Reserve in their estate plans through a variety of planned giving vehicles. By doing so, they have demonstrated their belief that the Academy has earned the right to be stewards of their legacies.

We are grateful for the dedication and leadership of a terrific group of volunteers. Our Planned Giving Advisory Committee meets annually to review policies, help direct our planned giving educational efforts and evaluate our program. They have guided us wisely, provided much support for activities such as our newsletter and seminars, and worked closely with our Director of Planned Giving to implement a planned giving class agent program.
