to a rising senior later this
month. Remaining proceeds are being used to permanently endow
the scholarship award.

the Date and Come Home on October 1, 2005
Homecoming 2005 will be Saturday, October 1. All alumni
are invited to come back to Reserve for the day and
enjoy a picnic lunch and the on-campus athletic events. In
addition, two special
events are being planned.
•Jim Gramentine ’51 expects
to be on campus to release his latest book about Reserve, entitled Without
Reserve.
The book contains 52 essays by alumni who attended Reserve
for one or more years prior to 1983. The collection makes for lively reading
and includes several profiles of faculty masters who made a profound difference
in young peoples' lives, coming-of-age stories of life at a boarding school,
and favorite memories, ranging from athletics to a few choice putzes.
•At its February meeting, the Alumni
Association Board voted to designate its Campaign for Reserve contributions
to name the lounge area in the Murdough Athletic Center in honor of all alumni.
The area will be dedicated October 1, followed by a
reception. The lounge
will be a gathering place for alumni, students and
visitors to the Reserve campus and will highlight alumni accomplishments and
achievements.
Regional
Gatherings Draw Alumni from Many Eras
Since the last issue of this newsletter, a number of regional
events have brought alumni together in several cities. Event
highlights, guest lists and photos for
these gatherings are available on Reserve’s website. This school year
more than 800 alumni and guests have attended regional events. Time
