Admission Process

About the admission process. We hope our website helps to better acquaint you with Western Reserve Academy. The Prospective Students section is designed to answer your basic questions, while this section will introduce our admission staff and explain the steps involved in the admission process.

Visiting the campus. Although our online tour offers a glimpse of the school, only a campus visit can provide you and your family with an opportunity to meet students and faculty and experience life at Reserve first-hand. To schedule an interview or overnight stay, applicants and interested students should call the Admission Office at 330.650.9717 or 800.784.3776.

Application deadlines. Applications must be submitted by January 15 for day students, February 1 for boarders. Please note that after the January 15 and February 1 deadlines, the Admission Office continues to receive applications and responds to completed applications on a rolling basis.

Application forms. Completed applications include the following: student essay, student questionnaire, parent questionnaire, three letters of recommendation, standardized test scores (SSAT for freshmen and sophomores; PSAT, SAT or ACT for upperclass applicants), transcript, financial aid form (if applicable), and a $50 application fee for United States boarding applicants, a $25 fee for day applicants or $150 for international applicants. Click here to print application forms.

Financial aid. We are committed to enrolling academically qualified students, regardless of their families' financial circumstances. This year Reserve will offer over $3.3 million in financial aid. Decisions are based on demonstrated need; a preliminary financial aid form should be submitted with a student's application for admission.

We look forward to hearing from you!
