A
wired campus. Reserve's historic buildings are fully wired for
e-mail and Internet access through the school's network. Our technology
goals are three-fold: (1) to insure that all students achieve a certain
level of proficiency; (2) to integrate technology and computer applications
into the classroom; and (3) to provide students, faculty and staff
with access to the best possible technology infrastructure, training
and support.
Ong Library technology resources.
Throughout the Ong Library, PCs are available for Internet access,
online databases and CD-ROMs. Laptops may be checked out for use
within the library, and numerous laptop connections and data-ports
are available. Two computer labs are equipped with interactive smartboards
and 40 computer learning stations.
Technology in the classroom. Nothing
can replace the teacher-student relationship, but at Reserve we
view technology as a valuable teaching tool. Most classrooms are
equipped with computers, speakers, and large-screen projectors;
many have smartboards, as well. Reserve also has five computer labs,
over 300 school computers, 80 printers and 12 servers, with oversight
by five full-time technology staff members. An increasing number
of Reserve faculty members regularly use technology in their classrooms.
