The Arts: Music Program

Musical performances and recitals captivate our community and illuminate the Academy's artistic richness. Music students perform in instrumental and vocal groups, compete and perform locally and internationally and study music theory and history. Here is a partial listing of groups that offer a range of creative opportunities:

The Academy Choir performs music from a variety of styles and periods. The Choir presents an array of concerts, including the Midwinter Madrigal Feaste, Vespers, traditional choral concerts and major works with the Chamber Strings.

Symphonic Winds provides an opportunity for woodwind, brass and percussion players to perform traditional concert band literature and transcriptions.

Reserve Chamber Strings is a group of string musicians who perform music in a variety of styles and settings.

Chamber Ensemble is a select instrumental group specializing in Renaissance and Baroque music.
